A Shrewdness of Apes

How do you know it's the Friday before spring break?

Because three kids are having meltdowns, one kid just basically dared you to write him up in front of the entire class, while fifteen other kids have already left to go on vacation, that's why.

Then there's all the bodies who are here but their heads are already on break.

Duh.

The bodies should have gone on break with the heads!

OR, you could be doing parent conferences this week on top of one senior suddenly dead, one former student probably dead, and another in police custody after a helicopter chase through town during which one of your other students was held at gunpoint and searched.

Oh, and that new student added to my class two weeks ago was kicked out of last school for decking his teacher. Good thing they hospitalized him for a couple of days to get those meds sorted out.

Is it summer, yet? Screw spring break.
